Connect Brokerkit to your AI assistant to look up contacts, review activity and prepare changes from a conversation. MCP is the connection that gives your assistant access to Brokerkit tools using your authorized account and team.
You can look up contacts, lead sources, labels, campaigns and saved searches. You can also prepare contact updates, campaign changes and emails. Those actions require your approval before Brokerkit submits them.
Watch the demo
Watch the setup and recruiting demo.
The demo connects ChatGPT to Brokerkit and reads a small saved-search sample with Relitix data. It drafts individual recruiting emails and shows a send preview without approving a send.
Before you connect
You need:
- A Brokerkit login with administrator access to an active team.
- Access to custom MCP connections in your Claude or ChatGPT account. Your organization's settings may require an administrator to add the connection.
Use this server address, including the /mcp ending:
https://mcp.brokerkit.com/mcp
You will sign in to Brokerkit and review the requested permissions. You do not need to copy a Team API Key or paste your password into the conversation.
Connect in Claude
On the Claude website:
- Open Customize → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Brokerkit and enter the server address above.
- Continue with the detected OAuth sign-in settings. You do not need to supply your own OAuth client ID, client secret or extra request headers.
- Follow the Brokerkit sign-in prompts. Confirm the intended team and review the requested permissions before authorizing access.
- Start a conversation. Open + → Connectors and enable Brokerkit.
For a managed Claude organization, ask your Claude administrator to add the custom web connector first. Each member then connects using their own Brokerkit login; use your own authorization rather than another person's connection.
Claude Desktop: use the remote connector from the same account. If the setup option is missing, add it on the website first. This connection does not require a desktop extension or a local configuration file.
Connect in ChatGPT
Use ChatGPT in your web browser:
- Open ChatGPT Plugins, select +, then Add custom MCP server.
- Name it Brokerkit and enter the server address above.
- Select OAuth authentication, review the connection warning and choose Create as a plugin. Follow the Brokerkit sign-in and permission prompts.
- Install the resulting Brokerkit plugin from your personal or workspace plugins. Start a conversation, type @, and select Brokerkit.
Confirm the intended Brokerkit team during authorization. If your account does not offer the custom-server option, check your workspace permissions with your administrator. OpenAI's setup guidance describes the current web flow.
ChatGPT Desktop: use Brokerkit from the same ChatGPT account after you complete the web setup.
Try a first prompt
With Brokerkit enabled, ask:
Use Brokerkit to confirm my connected account and team, then show up to five lead sources. Do not change any data.
Check that the returned team is the one you intended. Ask for another page when needed; a short result list may represent only part of your data.
Use your own saved searches
MCP can list and use only the saved searches owned by the connected user. A search visible in the team interface can belong to someone else. Reconnecting as the same user does not change this rule.
For contacts with Relitix data, ask for a small sample from a saved search you own. Use the returned facts to draft a different recruiting email for each contact.
Each individually written email uses a separate contact-email action with its own preview and approval. Bulk saved-search email uses one shared template with supported merge fields.
Review changes before approving
When you ask to change a contact, update campaign enrollment or send an email, Brokerkit prepares a preview. Review the team, affected contacts, content, schedule and any notifications or outreach before choosing Approve or Cancel in the approval interface. A typed “yes” in the conversation does not approve a change.
Previews expire after five minutes. If one expires, request a fresh preview. Cancel stops an action that has not been submitted; it cannot undo an action already sent to Brokerkit. Campaign and saved-search actions can affect multiple contacts and trigger outreach.
After approval, ask for the action's receipt. “Accepted” or “queued” is not proof that an email was delivered or a background job finished. If the outcome is unclear, check the receipt and Brokerkit before asking the assistant to repeat it.
If something does not work
- Access denied or wrong team: check your Brokerkit administrator access and the team selected during authorization. Reconnect with the intended account.
- A tool is missing: the available tools depend on the permissions granted to your connection. Review those permissions before reconnecting.
- No approval interface appears: stop and use a supported web client. The assistant cannot replace the required approval with a chat message.
- Rate limit or unclear result: follow any retry guidance. Check the receipt before repeating a change that might already have been submitted.
To stop using the connection, open Claude's Connectors or ChatGPT's plugin/app settings and manage Brokerkit there. Removing it from one conversation is not the same as revoking its authorization. Contact Brokerkit support if you need help revoking access or resolving a connection problem.
