How CC and BCC Work in Bulk, Blast, and Campaign Emails

You can add copied email addresses to bulk emails, blast emails, and Campaign 2.0 email steps. The addresses can be typed directly—they do not have to belong to an existing Brokerkit contact. What the copied person receives depends on the type of email you send.

Bulk and blast emails: one proof copy per send

When you compose a bulk email or a blast email to your team, select + CC or + BCC and add the addresses you want to copy. You will see a notice in the composer and again before sending.

Each unique CC or BCC address receives one proof copy for that bulk or blast send, not a separate copy for every contact. For example, if you send a bulk email to 100 contacts, each copied address receives one proof copy—not 100 emails. The proof email has a [Proof copy] subject prefix and a short notice explaining why the address received it. The contacts you selected still receive the email as usual.

The CC and BCC fields start empty on each new bulk or blast send. Previously used addresses may appear as suggestions, but they are not automatically added.

For the full send workflow, see Sending Bulk Email.

Campaign email steps: a copy each time a contact is emailed

In Automation → Campaigns, open a Campaign 2.0 email step, select + CC or + BCC, and add the addresses you want to copy. The addresses are saved with that email step and appear again when you edit it.

Each time that step emails a contact, the saved addresses receive that contact's normal personalized email in the CC or BCC field you chose. If the step emails 100 contacts, each copied address can receive 100 emails over the life of the campaign. Personalization in each email uses the contact that email was sent to.

Campaign email steps do not send a separate proof copy. Copied campaign emails have no [Proof copy] subject prefix or proof-copy notice. The composer warns you about the potential number of copies before you save the step.

Who can use these fields?

CC and BCC on these bulk, blast, and Campaign 2.0 workflows are available to Brokerkit Internal, Admin, and Staff users. Agent and Affiliate users do not see these controls. Each CC and BCC field accepts up to 50 valid email addresses.

Sending an individual email from a contact profile? That workflow has not changed. See Sending Individual Emails.
