What should I do if my email or calendar appointments aren't sending?

Occasionally, you may find that email or calendar appointments aren't sending — or that an appointment was created in Brokerkit but isn't showing up on your Google Calendar or Outlook. The fixes below cover both cases. Quick reset (fixes most issues) If appointments aren't sending OR aren't appearing on your calendar: 1. Log out of Brokerkit. Then, log out of Gmail. 2. Log in to Brokerkit. Pay special attention that you're using the Google Login button and the correct Google account (your work email instead of your personal Gmail, for example). 3. Once back in Brokerkit, you should see an error summary which will allow you to re-send your emails or calendar invites Why your appointments aren't showing up on your calendar If an appointment exists in Brokerkit but is missing from your Google Calendar (or Outlook), the most common causes are: 1. You aren't using Google. Google is required for the email and calendar functions in Brokerkit (bulk email will still work without it). 2. Brokerkit doesn't have calendar permission. Reset access here, then log back into Brokerkit and enable all permissions: myaccount.google.com/permissions. 3. The calendar invite bounced because the lead's email is invalid or their server rejected the invite. Check the lead's profile for an email error indicator and update the email if needed. 4. You rescheduled the appointment in Brokerkit. Brokerkit can add events to your Google Calendar but cannot remove them — old events from rescheduled appointments must be deleted from Google Calendar manually. 5. You're looking at the wrong Google account. Confirm Brokerkit is connected to the same Google account whose calendar you're checking. I assist multiple recruiters. How can everyone see my appointments?

To make tracking your team's progress easy, every action taken with leads will record who did what and when. Unfortunately, that means any appointments set up by an assistant will only show up for the assistant. If you have assistants setting appointments for one other recruiter, the fix is easy - allow your assistant to log in and work from the recruiter's main account so every appointment populates seamlessly. If you're wary of giving out your Gmail password, there's an easy way around that. From your assistant's workstation, open Google Chrome. In the upper-right-hand corner of Chrome, click the round icon with their picture or initial and select Manage People. Then, select Add Person. Now you can log into your Gmail account and Brokerkit once, and Chrome will save the login so your assistant won't need your passwords. If your assistant is helping multiple recruiters, swapping between Chrome accounts can become a burden quickly. Instead, they'll want to get very familiar with the Add Additional Invitee option. When setting an appointment in Brokerkit, a user can invite multiple people to an appointment using Google Calendar Invites. This could be anyone - a spouse, a business partner, or another recruiter. While the appointment will only be visible on the appointment setter's dashboard, all stakeholders will be able to track appointments from their calendars. mceclip0.png To make it even easier for the recruiters, the assistant can copy and paste the URL of the lead into the invite. The lead won't be able to access this information, but your recruiter will have an easy way to find the lead's profile from their calendar and Log the Appointment. Once the recruiter logs the appointment, the action will be recorded under their account and pushed to your Pipeline Report for easy tracking.
